The aims and objectives of the Institute are:

To provide an institutional framework for the resolution of disputes through arbitration, conciliation or other alternative dispute resolution methods in the construction industry.

To promote and facilitate the determination of disputes by conciliation, mediation and arbitration in the construction industry.

To arrange courses of training, seminars, workshops and periodical meetings for the reading of papers on matters of arbitration, conciliation and mediation.

To act as an appointing authority for all arbitration in the construction industry.

To provide support services such as arrangement for transcription, simultaneous translation, research and information, staff, secretariat, hotel bookings, airline reservation and venues for arbitration.
