About Us
The Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators (ICIArb), formerly known as Society of Construction Industry Arbitrators (SCIARB), was established in 1993 as a specialist Arbitration and Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR) body in the Construction Industry.
The Institute is the leading arbitral Institution in the Construction Industry in Nigeria. The Society was Inaugurated on the 15th of October 1993, as a multi-disciplinary organization with members drawn from the professionals related to the Construction Industry.

Associations & Memberships
Membership at the Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators (ICIArb) is of two cadres:
- Members; these are members who just the Institute via the Membership Entry Training and are continuously groomed via a special training known as “The Arbitration Clinic”. This special training is organized to ensure our members acquire subject-matter competence in construction industry arbitration.
- Fellows; These are members of the Institute who have achieved Fellow status at the institute having gone through our Expedited Path to Fellowship course or our Fellows Upgrade Course.

Trainings & Events
The trainings and events which take place annually at the Institute include but not limited to:
- Membership Entry Training; This training is held from time to time within the year for new intakes who want to become a part of the Institute.
- Expedited Path to Fellowship; This course is strictly for members who want to attain Fellow status at the Institute.
- Fellowship Upgrade Course; This is a workshop set aside for members of the Institute who wish to upgrade their status at the Institute to Fellows status.
- Adjudication Seminar; This special course is done just once in a year for anyone who is interested, member or non-member.
- Induction of Members and Investiture of Fellows; This is an annual event at the Institute where members and Fellows who have fulfilled all obligations required of them by the Institute are inducted officially.
